Nicole Kidman’s adopted daughter Bella Kidman Cruise posted a rare photo on social media on Tuesday.

The 31-year-old artist posted a picture of herself and her three friends attending the 2024 Glastonbury Festival.

In the photo, the friends looked into the distance while wrapping their arms around each other and sitting on a hill at the event.

Bella, who was adopted by Nicole and her then husband Tom Cruise in 1992, wrote under the photo: “The best.”

Bella and her brother Connor (born 1995) have had a strained relationship with the “To Die For” actress over the years.

Nicole and Tom divorced in 2001 after eleven years of marriage and received joint custody of the children.

However, the adopted children reportedly remained “loyal to their father” and decided to live with him, meaning they grew up in the controversial Church of Scientology.

Nicole has not been photographed in public with her two eldest children since 2007 and was reportedly “devastated” after the pair failed to attend their father’s funeral in 2014.

It was also reported that she couldn’t wait for Connor and Bella to attend the American Film Institute (AFI) ceremony last year, where she received America’s highest honor for a film career.

While Connor, who is “extremely loyal” to his father Tom, apparently did not show Nicole any public support for her achievement, daughter Bella liked one of her mother’s Instagram posts about the award.

Despite an alleged rift between Nicole and her eldest children – which Connor and Bella deny – the actress has previously spoken of her “unconditional” love for Connor and Bella, given their “decision to become Scientologists.”

The celebrity couple adopted Connor and Isabella in the early 1990s after Nicole suffered an ectopic pregnancy and miscarriage – and was told she might have difficulty conceiving as a result.

She had previously spoken in an interview with Tatler about her fertility problems with Tom and about her “desire to have children”.

“The loss of a miscarriage is not talked about enough. For some women, it is a great grief,” she said.

She did not discuss her relationship with her adopted children in the interview – but Nicole did talk about the maternal instinct, regardless of whether the children are biological or adopted.

She said: “Whether you are an adoptive mother, whether you are a foster mother, whether you are a biological mother, it is about that feeling of bonding with a child and helping to guide and raise them. [that is important].’

Isabella, called Bella, and Connor are Tom and Nicole’s only children.

Connor was adopted by Nicole and the action star shortly after his birth in 1995, but the exact date remains unclear.

Sister Isabella was adopted by the couple three years earlier, in 1992.

The actor from “Top Gun: Maverick” also has a 17-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise, with his ex-wife Katie Holmes.

The “Moulin Rouge” actress now has daughters Sunday Rose Kidman Urban (15) and Faith Margaret Kidman Urban (13) with her husband Keith Urban.

Tom and Connor have occasionally been spotted attending sporting events together.

Nicole has said in the past that she prefers to keep her relationship with her children private.
