“When the wings clap, we know something is happening back there. We don’t know exactly what, but we’re pretty sure they’ve understood the task.”
Captain Anthony “Tony” Blake, a pilot with 42 years’ experience, describes to MailOnline Travel what it’s like to fly a Cessna 414 twin-engine aircraft during his “Mile High Experience.”
He has made this flight 3,000 times in the last four years as co-founder and chief pilot of the Love Cloud Vegas tour.
The experience is a private flight over the desert and the Las Vegas Strip, where up to four customers can simultaneously join the Mile High Club by having sex on the double bed installed in the back.
“It’s a very private, romantic evening,” Tony says. “We feel it. I feel it. I like to say that I have a very sensitive joystick up front.”
“They move their feet and move backwards. I feel it. It’s a smaller midsize aircraft. And we feel everything – unfortunately.”
Although Captain Tony says he can feel everything that happens aft, he claims he can’t see or hear anything his lucky passengers are doing.
He explains: “We have our headphones on and they block out all the noise. We fly in very confined airspace. On Friday nights and Sunday nights we are generally the busiest airports in the country.”
“We circle the airspace, in and out of it, down, under and around it. There are probably 50 pilots taking off and landing at any given time – 24 hours a day.
“We’re constantly listening to directional vectors – if we miss two calls, my 42-year-old license is gone. So there’s a lot going on in my ears.”
The pilot also cannot see into the rear of the aircraft because there is a partition between the flight deck – “we are no longer allowed to call it the cockpit,” he says – and the cabin.
He commented: “We never took down the partition. We put up curtains. Unfortunately, that’s all we can do.”
“They’ve never accidentally fallen off during a flight. So we won’t see it.”
The interior of the Love Cloud aircraft is “constantly being improved,” but so far it features a spacious bed, sheets and blanket, pillows and seats in which passengers can be strapped in for takeoff.
What passengers do during their Mile High Club experience is up to them – according to Tony, it’s all “free rein” and some even go to great lengths, bringing “toy bags,” wearing “sexy lingerie,” or blindfolding a lover.
Fortunately, Love Cloud strictly adheres to its hygiene regulations.
Although Captain Tony jokes that the sheets need to be washed “once a year”, he told MailOnline that they usually “throw them away” after every flight.
He says: “We have four aircraft and for all of them the downtime between flights is 45 minutes to an hour.”
“We have a floor crew, we throw the sheets away and put new sheets on. At one point last year we bought up all of Google’s red satin sheets. We buy about 500 a month.”
“We have bed pads and the beds themselves are thrown away about every 60 days – they are the cleanest beds in the city.”
In addition to the experience in the air, passengers will be picked up from their hotel in a limousine – “with complimentary chocolates, champagne and flowers” – before they board their flight.

Captain Tony notes, “You’ll be driven into the airport, no security, no TSA, no one will pat your balls or look in your purse, and you’ll ride the red carpet ramp directly to the plane.”
However, if the passengers are too drunk, they will be banned from flying.
Tony explains: “When I open the door of a limousine and see people falling over, they immediately get back in the limousine.”
“This is not a drinking party or a disrespectful party. These are lovers. If they are completely drunk, they don’t need to come here on this flight.”
Other common reasons for cancellation include maintenance work and aircraft defects.
Tony says: “We are in the world of aviation and we have the same standards for maintenance as any other leading airline. They are probably a little higher because we are a smaller company.”
Love Cloud passengers must be over 18 years of age and from all age groups above that.
Tony says: “The target group ranges from 21 to 80. We have had people over 80 years old here. More than you can imagine.”
However, they tend to fall into one of two demographic groups.
“Most of our customers, 90 percent, are regular workers. Most of them have never been in a limousine,” Tony says. “The other five percent are – I can’t say porn anymore – content creators.”
Adult video producers book the Love Cloud for filming in the air – the airline’s passengers have received five AVN (Adult Video News) awards for their work behind the bulkhead, the captain notes.
When asked if Love Cloud also features big names, the pilot says: “We didn’t have any big monster names.”

While the Mile High Club isn’t for everyone, former commercial pilot Tony is ecstatic about his success, which is enhanced by his small planes that “keep the costs down” so everyone can afford the experience.
He says, “It’s the only job in my life that I can’t wait to get up for… I love it. I mean, I love flying planes and I love having sex.”
“I said to my wife, ‘Let’s bring the two together and make it the most magical thing.'”
“Even if we don’t know what’s going on in the back, our customers always come to us with a big smile, they come happy and leave twice as happy.”
“At the end of their flight, passengers receive a mileage certificate and a wallet-sized plastic card that says: Hey, you’re a member of our club.”
Love Cloud Vegas also offers wedding flights, where passengers are married on the ground before takeoff, as well as sunset flights.
The Mile High Club experience is available in three packages: Copper (30 minutes, $995/£785), Silver (45 minutes, $1,195/£943), Gold (60 minutes, $1,395/£1,101) and Platinum (90 minutes, $1,500/£1,184). Visit: www.lovecloudvegas.com And instagram.com/love_cloud_vegas.
